No wonder there’s an obesity problem!

I went through the weight barrier of 60 KG so I decided I really need to check my calorie intake since twice a week in the gym obviousely isn’t enough. And for you wannabe smoke quitters out there: since I stopped smoking over a year and a half ago my metabolism has really changed.
I can no longer eat a mars bar without any consequences 🙁

Anyway, I found two “calorie” programs for my pocket pc. One is just the database ($8 and no trial version) while the other also does some calculations and has a trial version.

I downloaded the trial version, I think it’s something called Pocket Diet. In any event, looking through the database to figure out various calories I was really surprised to find so many fast food items. I mean, if you’re checking your calories you’re doing it for a reason…. every single McDonald’s meal is in there, all kinds of Taco Bell foods. And I couldn’t find the calorie count for fresh ravioli. You know, the kind you actually have to cook and not just a can of something.

I’m getting quite curious about the other database, which I believe is called Calories Calculator. With the dollar/Euro rate it’s not even so expensive. I’m just wondering if I’ll be able to find only processed brand food (that doesn’t even exist in Europe!) or if I’ll be able to actually count my calories – and lose some tummy!
